Magical Musical Encounter

In 1995, I was asked to perform the sephardic wedding songs from my CDs in a glorious outdoor estate in Maryland. It turned out to be one of my most memorable and enlivening musical 'jobs'. I entered a beautiful arbor and to my greatest delight, I was seated with the other musicians Isaac Stern, the legendary violinist, and his son. Together the three of us filled the air with sweet, sensuous and tender music as the marriage ceremony took place. After listening to my songs, Isaac Stern turned to me and said "wonderful". At that moment, I experienced elation and a pivotal moment of validation as a musician. I felt that I had 'arrived'. The green light for GO had been turned on.
